Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
I have looked on Craiglist, private tutors are expensive and I am wary of their credentials.

Look at the local community colleges. I just finished an online vocab test that was only $100. They offered quantitative for another $100. Both were 6 weeks long.
I wouldnt advice taking a course from a private tutor since they often rush through the course.You would be better of timing and studying yourself .Just get some good books and softwares and you are ready to go

Barrons for the word lists
Kaplan for verbal
Kaplan for maths
Download the powerprep software from the ets website
Download the Gre big book from esnips
Julie – You can master he GRE Exam by practice and just following books. It’s really not required to spend $600 to study for a exam.
Spend $100 to $200 in buy the good GRE books and spend 3 to 4 months of proper prep time. You score will improve drastically.
If you go to GRE Prep class, essentially they are going to tech whats thee isn the GRE Books you buy.
