What undergrad math classes are helpful if I plan to take the GRE later on?
Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
My major only requires one math course, but I’ve always been rather weak in math and want to be as well-rounded as possible. I also don’t want to have to worry about the math section of the GRE. Thanks!
I teach GRE math, and I can assure you that the GRE only covers high school math, *below* the level of pre-calc. If you are worried about the math section, get a test prep book and review geometry, algebra, number properties, word problems, ratios, percents, and arithmetic. The GRE math section tests your ability to come up with solutions to problems using the tools that a high school graduate would have (but no calculators). It is not so much a math test as a critical thinking test. Review basic math and multiple choice strategies, and you will do fine!
The GRE doesn’t cover college math. I don’t even think it covers calculus. You’d only need to review some of the stuff you did in high school. The only reason to take math is if you will need it for the graduate program you are going to apply to.
Statistics 1 and calculus 1 would be good. There might be a little bit of calculus on there, but if there is, it’s very basic. There are definitely some statistics questions. I remember because I didn’t take statistics, and those were the only GRE math problems I didn’t know how to do.
