what kind of apple/mac laptop should i buy for college?-going to be a biology major?
Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
going to be taking chem, psyc, math, writing in fall semester. I am not really familiar with buying computers and all, so if someone could provide some guidance. I want something that will last me all four years, going into biology major. What is the best kind of laptop for college, what do most students use?
I would go with the macbook pro. the basic model with the 15 inch screen should do just fine. It will last you at least college and probably longer. Make sure you use your student discount.
My daughter is starting college this fall as well. We got her the basic macbook, we didn’t feel she needed the pro, but she’s going into theatre. You’ll be needing more computing power, but what I would do is check with the department at the college you’re going to. Some schools don’t care and are set up to handle either PC’s or MAC’s, but some DO care and aren’t set up to handle 1 or the other. There are also basic requirements that each school has–RAM, memory, hard drive, processor speed, etc. So, check with your college tech department–they can guide you in the right direction a heck of alot better than a bunch of us on the internet, or worse–a salesperson in a store. Good luck!
It will be difficult to take notes in biology classes on a computer (at least it was for me). There are things you sometimes have to draw out and draw charts for, that you can’t usually do fast enough using a word processor.
An iMac would be your best bet because of what it can handle. Laptops can be very iffy.
