What is the best book to use to prepare for the GRE? Princeton, Barron’s, Kaplan, or other books?
Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
This will be my first time taking the GRE and I am wondering which book is better in preparing you for the exam. I’ve already bought a Princeton 2010 GRE book but was wondering whether I should purchase another book (such as Kaplan, Barron’s, or some other book). Which books, study habits, and test techniques helped you? I am wanting to get an M.A./Ph.D in Psychology as I am a double major in Psychology and Human Development with a Minor in English. Thanks!
It seems like the general books are pretty similar but kaplan has workbooks too which I think are really helpful and have lots of extra problems divided by more specific topics. Right now I am using Kaplan’s GRE math workbook and it is has great topic review and is easy to follow if you need to brush up on your math.
Yes. Purchase a few. They’re slightly different, and you’ll want the extra practice tests. Princeton Review and Kaplan are turning out to be my favorites. Barrons is probably in 3rd place. The material seems to be better covered in the first two.
Princeton and Barron’s. It’s similar to the hard version of SAT, I heard.

I notice that you are already pretty good in English. [Unlike many others I see on this site.]
I am glad you have candidly given all your details! Have faith, Princeton is the BEST! If you are willing to prepare conscientiously and be teachable, it is NOT necessary to go and buy Kaplan, Barron’s, etc etc. About 8 weeks of focussed effort would ensure you surpass your target score!
Princeton Review has already 1100 branches for coaching in 25 countries worldwide! The results speak for themselves!
Right now I am coaching a psychology student for the GRE at Gurgaon; she plans the same route as you! Where do you live? Walk up to the nearest branch of Princeton and register!
Just today, my student for TOEFL scored 110 out of 120, under my coaching at TPR. Very satisfying!!
Without mugging words to improve your Vocab, Princeton will teach you techniques to learn words rapidly — an exponential growth!
