what are my chances of getting into a top tier graduate economics program MA or PhD?
Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
i go to the University of Cincinnati which has little to no reputation in econ research. if i average a 3.8 in my econ courses and get at least a 700 quantitative gre can that make up for the less rigorous course load. i realize me getting into a school like University of Chicago is a long shot, but it cant hurt. maybe you can suggest some schools to which i should apply.
I wouldn’t say it’s a long shot. What’s most important is that you have connections with your professors, do good research with them, attend conventions in your field of study, and really build up your network in academia. It really is about who you know and what you’ve done. Anybody can have a good GPA and GRE score but it’s most important to show that you’ve prepared yourself as an undergrad and are ready to take the plunge into becoming a fine grad student also. Don’t think that any grad program is impossible.
