Tell me when is the correct time to write GRE and TOEFL. I’ll finish my BE in JUNE. Any institutes in Bangalor

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
I am going to finish my BE (Bachelor of engineering) in June-July. When do u suggest me to write both GRE and TOEFL?
When should i apply for writing them? I can immediately join in
a good institute for coaching to get a good score. Please suggest a good institute in BANGALORE which offers both courses(GRE,TOEFL) daily .Tell me their website for details if any. What r the good universities in US? I dont prefer CANADA. Also give me all the information u know regarding this whole process right from writing the exams till getting a seat in a good university and life thereafter.
This is busy time for TOEFL iBT and GRE. My school teaches these courses. In my city, the test dates for TOEFL are booked up about a month in advance.
Do not study both GRE and TOEFL at the same time. You will confuse the strategies and make more mistakes. Take TOEFL first because it is easier and then take your GRE.
Kaplan is a good place to take a course. For GRE they have a high score guarantee. They also provide a free iBT style TOEFL test that you can take. If you score above 80% on a practice test then you can probably study by yourself without taking a course and score well on the real TOEFL test.
An iBT score of 100 is what a forgien doctor needs in Canada and the US, so that should be your target score.
As for good universities in the US, it really depends on your academic field. I’m Canadian, so perhaps an American could give some better insight, but MIT seems to be well-known for engineering.
Apply at a school in the US (for example Kaplan) and that school will send you a letter of acceptance.
Take the letter of acceptance to your own government agency and obtain a student study abroad visa.
Send the approved visa with tuition payment back to your school in the US. They will now be responsible for you. If you skip school, or disappear, that school will report you to the authorities because they are sponsoring your student visa, so don’t mess around once you get to the USA.
That school, or some other service will then help you to apply at a university. You will need to write a letter of purpose and a summary of your undergraduate studies, and send those, along with your TOEFL and GRE scores to the university.
Once again, if they accept your application, you can take the acceptance to your country’s consulate and again obtain permission to study outside your own country. You will not be able to change your visa from inside the USA. You will need to apply again from either your country or from Canada or Mexico (whatever is closer for you) Then you can re-enter the US and study an MA at the university that has accepted you.
Then you graduate and live happily ever after.
So, you should apply to study TOEFL and GRE in the USA as soon as possible so that you can get your scores and applications in by the start of the 2007 fall semester at a university.
