i need to take up my GRE exams.. i wud like to know when the universities start takin in applications for the course starting from 2008.. (i wil be finishin my undergrad by june 2008).. also what are the other requirements??

how must i go about preparing for
A)the new gre syllabus 2011
B)should i give it now or drop one year after 8th sem
C)recommended softwares like grebigbook,gre bible,gre prep (is this enough or any more required)
D)recommended books like barrons 2010,kaplans 2011(is this enough or any more required)
E)*most importantly which are the good universities for any electronics or computer courses(general)
F)if 1400 was good for the last gre with different scaling what could be the good score for the new gre?

Please advice i think i am already late. So kindly advice will i be able to go on with this sept batch? or i am to late. Also I want to avail funding. I want to apply for Bioinformatics (Biotechnology) . Can you please let me know that do i have a good range of Universities (nice ranking) to apply with. And what are the deadlines as i have still to appear for GRE and TOEFL. Please Guide. Thanks in advance.

I have done bachelor in architecture. After that I took break and now I want to do Ms in Information Technology as I have more interest in it than architecture. So please help me how to proceed. I have to give GRE general test or subject test. Which are good universities in NJ area. I havent done any courses in computer…Do I need to do something before applying for universities??

I am a Computer Science student and going to finish my course in May 2008. The fact is I want to go for a MBA Degree instead of a job right after.

I am from India, and very much admant about going abroad for higher education. It’s just a dream of mine. Well the problem is I will be a complete fresher with no work experiance, with only 15 years of education. Now if I want to apply for UK or US universities they would demand for a work experiance of at least 2 years to do a MBA. US universities demands for 16 years of formal education.

Someone told me that there are some Universities in US which do accept freshers into MBA but I have no idea which ones. Can anyone help me out with something. I am in a great crisis of proper information. I have heard about TOEFL, IELTS, GRE and GMAT etc, but can’t make a path out of it. My first choice is US.

I am confused and unable to figure out anything proper. Please do help me. I would be glad to have your suggestions.

courses and the related universities that can be pursued for my m.s program in u.s and u.k?and also the required minimum gre scores?is it possible to shift over to some other related branch of engineering while doing post-graduation?if so please give those options keeping in mind that i can relate to them after graduation in electronics and communication?

I have a KT in the previous semester due to which i am not able to get the transcripts from my college right now . So is it alright to send all the other documents like SOP,GRE TOEFL scorecards and the previous semester marksheets and everything else in the application package of course EXCEPT for the last marksheet and the transcripts telling the universities that the transcripts will rerach later asap ??? will my application be taken into consideration .???

Hi.. I’l be completing my engineering in May 2011 and i’m pursuing a post grad and thinking of giving the GRE exam.
I need some help on that.
I’ve heard the universities help our with the funds like scholarships and all. I’m from India.
Also i know that the syllabus is gonna change from august. So i have to give my test earlier than that..
Ive done some preparation keping GATE in mind. Now that ive decided to give GRE as well, I think i’m kinda prepared. But i’l still need a lot of preparation.

Please help me out with the date. When will it be the best so that i get the best response from universities and i get admission well before the courses start?

I took my GRE on 29th Nov 2010 and my TOEFL is due on 11th Dec 2010. I have done MS in Pharmacoinformatics from NIPER Kolkata. I wish to apply to schools in US offering phD in bioinformatics. Is a score of 1230 good enough to get admission to schools like North Carolina State University and Iowa State University ? Which are the other universities that I can go for which are having a deadline of application in and around last week of Jan 2011 or first week of Feb 2011 because it will also take some time for the official GRE and TOEFL scores to reach the respective universities ? Can they waive the deadline for score reports if I mention about it in a separate letter attached to the application materials ? Please anyone guide me on this as soon as possible.

My friend has got 800 in Maths + 590 in Verbal. total 1390 as GRE score. Could you tell the various options and courses and universities available open to this score? Assume her GPA to be around 8.5 and that she will have a few projects in hand to include in the application.

I want to do masters in US, am planning for spring intake . I want to do a course which includes wireless technology , telecommunications and networking . I would also like to know my chances to get funding for the univs u suggest. I heard abt 2 univs , University of texas at dallas and university of wisconsin , madison. What are my chances with those universities.

TOEFL : yet to recieve the score wud be b/w 95-100
UG : 73% in electronics and communication engineering
12th : 82.5%
10th : 86%

I’m wanting to become a vet once I get out of highschool. Right now I’m in the 10th grade, I’m taking the highest science related courses I can right now. But I just don’t understand where to go after highschool.

Do you need to go to a 4 year college or university majoring in some kind of science, THEN afterwards you apply to one of the 28 vet universities? When exactly do you take the GRE and other tests that a lot of vet universities require? Which kind of college/university would I go to straight out of highschool, graduate or undergraduate? After you finally finish becoming a vet, will you have a master, bachelors, or what? About how many years does it take, and does that include internships or on the job training?

I’m just so confused! It would be so great if someone could kind of make a step by step guide. I’ve searched the internet but every website just leaves me with more questions. =(

I am willing to do M.S abroad after engineering. I am an ece student. I would want to know about some good universities to do my M.S and also the departments an Electronics student can opt for in M.S. Also, I want to know if GRE marks alone is enough to do M.S. I am having 59% in graduation and my graduation is of 3years course.
If it is must to have 4 years graduation then can i do any 1 year Diploma or PG diploma from distance education. Will distance education diploma satisfy entry to universities at US?

which all universities are accepting 1 year MBA?

1. I want to become a literature professor, so of course I plan on taking the general GRE and the English subject GRE. I want to take them in August or September, because I want to have all of my grad school applications sent out before Christmas rolls around.

The thing is, the GRE is pretty pricey, and I won’t have 0 saved up to pay for the two tests until July-ish. If I schedule in July, will I be able to take the tests as early as August/September? (I’m assuming you pay for the tests when you schedule.)

2. I know you have to write the school’s code down, and they’ll send your GRE scores to the school. That means the scores will be separate from my letters of recommendation, my transcripts, my writing samples…

Will the schools put two and two together and look at my application as a whole? Should I get a copy of my GRE scores for myself and send them along? I just don’t want these universities to think I have an incomplete application!

I have pretty ambitious plans regarding my masters degree, I am a year 2 undergraduate student right now and I know I can sit on a computer GRE test any time I want. But when do you think is the best time to take it? I have no idea, when, 3rd year or 4th year, I should be applying to the universities for postgraduate studies. Can you please help me?

And my Toefl score is 75
