Hey, am from India. I am looking forward to do my masters degree in ‘computer graphics and game technology’ from the united states. My GRE score is 1140 (quantitative – 690, verbal – 450); analytical writing section – 3; Am not quite sure about the good universities that offer this course..and whether i stand a chance to get in with my score. Please guys, help me out with some good univserties that you feel i can get admissions wit my score..

I’ve got a bad GRE score but an awesome TOEFL score.
Just heard that some universities didn’t need any exam scores at all. I’d like to pursue my Master’s in Engineering. Can someone help me out?

i took 3 toefl ibt exams due to getting high Score ( 100 out of 120 ) , i want to know whether the number of toefl which i took is important for applying to universities or not ,is it a bad point for them or it is not important , How about GRE exam ?

I completed a 2 years bachelor program in business administration with the exception of 1 course (not completed due to lack of time and necessity to work full time). I have transcripts but no degree. This was back in 2001 and since then I have been working. 4 years in a reputable US organization and eventually in a successful startup to date.

I now want to consider taking up education again, complete my bachelors from a reputable US university and perhaps do a masters.

My issues are:
I can’t afford tution.
I gave toefel eon years ago with a good score but have never given gre or SAT.
I want to know if universities consider work experience of an applicant cos I have years of it.
Need a starting point, any guidance will help. Thanks

Hey all..I got a score of 1280(verbal-500,quant-780) in gre.I have not given my toefl exam yet.I am technically sound.I have a cgpa of 9.135/10. Could anyone tell me which universities can I apply for?I am planning to do my MS in wireless communication.

I’m doin my UG final year. I’m gona start preparing for GRE, which i’m gona take this oct or sept, only now. I jus wanna know if i could get a good score. I also wanna know if the US universities are providing the fellowship. Plz tell me wat’s the procedure to take TOEFL. Suggest me a good website to know abt the US universities, their details, requirements, etc. The most important thing is…. "will i make it by this sept or oct?"

im going to take a toefl and GRE test…i have two questions.
1.how long will it take for the scores to reach the specified universites from the day of the exam?
2.should the scores reach the universities before the application dead line?

hi all i’m an international student from india. my gre was 1300 (800 + 500) and toefl was 107. i had applied to 4 universities for MS in computer science- U PENN, JHU, NYU and U PITT.

i had pretty strong SOP with 4 fairly strong LOR’s from 3 professors and a company i had my training in. the problem with my profile was my acads. i only had a gpa of around 3.2/4. (i say around coz in my university we follow the percentage system in every course)

so the problem is that now i have received a reject from U PENN and the rest universities are saying that they’ll take around 2 weeks for the decision. but now my idiotic decision of applying to 4 universities is biting my a$$. so is there any other university which has admission open even now???
(i’m applying to north eastern univ tomorrow morning)… plz plz let me know any university or guidance. i understand there is no spoon feeding here but i have been so tense for the past few days that i cant see any hope….

Unfortunately, I ruined my GPA my first two years and I go to a extremely difficulty school so I have a GPA of over 2.5 and 2.9 for the last 60 hours. I have solid GRE scores and solid recommendation letters so how difficult will it be to get accepted into a MS program only. Of course, I know most schools say you need a 3.0 but then a lot of them always say students can be admitted provisionally. I am really getting stressed out about this because I know I am more then capable of surviving in graduate school. My plan was to apply to 12 schools, 8 of them will be non ranked schools with low admissions standards (Only 2.75 GPA required) and four decently ranked large universities that should have enough spots available for a provisional student. Is this a good idea? and I am relying on the fact that I think most people don’t apply to the MS so that should increase my chances. Also, I keep reading online that many people get accepted into decent programs with a low GPA and maybe its because of other factors that I am not aware of. Any suggestions?

I would like to go on scholarship to universities for my masters degree in fall semester 2012.i would like to have guidance as to apply in what universities that are best for my gre score and which provide me full scholarship.I would like to know it soon.

So, i just to the GRE and scored 450-Quant and 360-Verbal. So, a total of 810. I know that’s not the best, but I know my capabilities and even with all the studying i did and prep course i knew i wasnt gonna even get close to a 1,000. My question is that a good enough score to get into a grad program for public health…i’m not trying to go to any ivy league schools. so, regular universities. your input would be great. thanx a lot.

Considering that score will be available only in November for August Examinees. Also a few more doubts:
1. When does ‘fall 2012′ session start?
2. What is application deadline (approx) for universities in the US for fall 2012?
3. While registering for GRE i gave only the initial of my middle name ‘H’ only instead of full name as it is in the passport(full). I have given complete First and last name. Will i face problems later? What should be done now if its a big issue?

Hi, i will apply for some US universities in next january and i will take the toefl exam like mid of june and i really do not have a single clue about preparation for the NEW gre test. i have a deadline but a couldn’t calculate the preparation time.

also i desperately need some advice for book or study tips or some sites with all in it ) but actually i need advice for books of the new GRE.

I m doin my final year engineering in B.E.Computer Science and Engineering . I have written my GRE . I scored 1030 in it. Quants-710 , Verbal-320. Please suggest me some good decent universities in US that accept this score . My academic aggregate is 79%. I will get above 100 in TOEFL . Please suggest me some good universities . Also tell me what course should i choose and in what college . please help me out . tell me good college . I need you to tell me a good course tat i shud pursue and college list …

I know the admission process of universities also consider credentials other than the GRE score. But I just want to know with the scores I got today whether I need to re-take GRE exam to have fairly good chance of getting into the online/part-time master degree program in Computer Science for the schools mentioned below

My GRE score from the test today:
Verbal: 600,
Quantative: 720
Analytical Writing: N/A (I’ll probably get at least 4.0)

1) Does one necessarily have to give TOEFL alongside GRE, if he/she belongs to a nation where English is not a first language?

2) What are the scholarships provided according to the GRE scores(any rough idea)? Do they differ for different universities?

3) Which are the top 5 U.S. colleges having M.S. course in Electronics Technology and/or Communication Technology?

4) Are there some qualifying criteria(marks/grades/GPA of previous course) to be satisfied to be able to appear for the test?

Please answer my above queries.

But with US the only obligation is work experience! so i’m unable to get admission in any reputed university in US…. But i can if i chose master in IT as my course……

But i hv decided to come back to India after studies… So MBA is a better option over Masters in IT..

Also let me knw the ielts / toefl / gre / gmat tests required…. because if so.. i’ll giv the papers wch are required, this july…..

I am a resident of New Delhi, India. I have received my bachelor’s degree from Delhi university, India in Computer Engineering. Now I wish to pursue my post graduation degree (masters in telecommunications) from a reputed US university. I wish to undertake the online way of studying the course from India(any city) by which i can download the lectures on PC and submit my assignments online. Regarding this I have a few question that I hope you can answer.

* Which all universities have such online education mechanism in India? I know of one, Illinois Institute of Technology. What about others?
* Besides giving GRE, do i have to give any other exams also(e.g. TOEFL etc.)?

I am undergraduate student in Shanghai, China. My research interest is about solar cells and photovoltaic. what i want to ask is: what major should I apply to the Graduate School in the US? Physics or Electronic Engineering or Material? As you know, applying for Electronic Engineering and Material is very competitive. My GPA is between 3.6 to 3.7,and I will take TOEFL this year and GRE next year. I hope you can answer the question. If the TOEFL and GRE score is vital for you to do the answer, you can assume several conditions about the scores. For example, you can assume these two scores are about 90 (for TOEFL IBT) and 1300 (for GRE GENERAL) or you can assume these are 80 and 1200. Of course, I wish you can further tell me what universities I can apply. Thank you for your time!

Tel me those courses for which I’ll be eligible, as well as good universities. I would prefer Michigan State. Im yet to write my GRE.
