Have you either taken and/ or administered the GRE, and if so, what are the best GRE test prep materials?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
I’m interested in taking the GRE. I am not interested in taking the classes. Are the same materials used in prep courses available to the general public? What are the materials?
KAPLAN Prepcourses? Are they effective?
I’m preparing for my DATs. My friend is taking KAPLAN’s GRE prep course, and he says that it is very helpful. My fear is that I pay 00 (Thats how much it costs) and I end up wasting time. They have this "higher score gaurantee" thing where I can retake the course If I feel unready but the truth is, that’s more time out of my life, from my job, from my studies, so I don’t really see it as much of a plus.
SO has anyone had any experience with Major Test Prep Courses (such as SAT, GRE, MCAT ect) and can offer me advice? Should I just stick with buying a prep book and read it or shell out the cash? Mind you, I want to get a very high score.
best GRE prep book for better score?
which ones worked best for you with tips etc?
which prep courses (if any) were good?
thanks!
GRE prep question? Help please?
I’m planning on taking the GRE. Kaplan and Princeton review and other prep courses seem to be really expensive. Are they any good? Any recommendations to prepare for the test? Is it worth paying the 00 + for the prep course? How about the online courses?
Is it true you can raise your GRE score by taking prep courses beforehand?
Some places claim the average person taking their prep courses increase their scores by an average of 200 points
Anyone want to share their experiences with GRE prep courses?
I’m looking into taking a GRE prep course, but would like to hear from people. Good, bad? Kaplan, Princeton Review, other? Private tutoring, online tutoring, alternate methods?
Did you find their methods helpful? Bad? Did you get your money’s worth? Did you get the refund they promise if you don’t raise your scores?
I am looking EXPERIENCES about the prep courses. I know a lot of people just say study from the books, there are online things, etc. but I’m trying to gather as much information as possible.
What types of GRE prep courses would you recommend?
GRE online prep courses, in-class prep courses, etc. and by who? (kaplan, princeton review, etc…)
What was your experience with the prep course you took?
By who and and what type (online or in-class, private tutor)?
Which GRE prep courses are considered the best, and the worst?
I would love top hear personal experiences with some of the more popular (and unpopular) prep courses, like Princeton Review, Kaplan or Testmasters. Also, has anyone heard of MILC? They guarantee a score of at least 1300 on the GRE. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
