For acing the GRE – what is the best PAID COURSE I should take between Kaplan, Princeton Review and PowerScore?

Please don’t write an answer telling me I don’t need a course, it’s a waste of money. I saved up and plan on taking a course and need your opinion.

AND PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE TAKEN ANY OF THESE, TELL ME HOW YOU THINK THEY DID

I’m planning on taking the GRE. Kaplan and Princeton review and other prep courses seem to be really expensive. Are they any good? Any recommendations to prepare for the test? Is it worth paying the 00 + for the prep course? How about the online courses?

I have the ‘08 ed. of the Kaplan study guide, and the flashcards. I’m making my way through the book… and I know most, if not all the words on the flashcards. Do I need to get a book in addition to this one (like Princeton), or was just one book enough for you? I just want to take the test once, but I’m anxious about it.

(I should be taking it maybe in August or early Sept.)

Gearing up for the test, any advice on study guides? ETS, Kaplan or Princeton Review? Also, if I were to take a prep class Kaplan or Princeton Review? Comparable or one better than the other? Thanks!

I want to go to grad school and I am wondering what GRE test prep books you all have used. Im guessing that the Kaplan books are the best, but has anyone tried any others.

I took kaplan prep course for GRE last summer. If I sign up for Lsat prep do I get a discount?!

Can anyone give me advice on the math section of the GRE? I am horrid at math, and the best score I’ve gotten out of the three times I’ve taken the GRE is a 370. I’ve tried Princeton Review (online course and book), Kaplan’s review, and many other GRE books. I don’t know what to do but I retake the exam on the 29th of Jan. Any quick tips or helpful ideas are welcome Thanks!

So the 3 books that I can’t decided between are of course PR, Kaplan & Barrons and I’ve heard a lot of good and bad things about all of them. I’m not that bad at math already so a book that isn’t too amazing in the math section wouldn’t be too bad. I do need a REALLY high score in the writing and verbal sections for the graduate program that I am going to be applying for. Which book would you recommend for a high writing and verbal score? Also, should I bother buying the CD with the book?

Has anyone taken or knows someone who has taken a Kaplan program or used an equivalent program to prepare for the GRE? Which course did you take: Instructor-led or online self-study? Did you feel it prepared you better than studying on your own would have? Do you feel its benefits were worth the cost to enroll? Thanks so much!

I’m looking into taking a GRE prep course, but would like to hear from people. Good, bad? Kaplan, Princeton Review, other? Private tutoring, online tutoring, alternate methods?

Did you find their methods helpful? Bad? Did you get your money’s worth? Did you get the refund they promise if you don’t raise your scores?

I am looking EXPERIENCES about the prep courses. I know a lot of people just say study from the books, there are online things, etc. but I’m trying to gather as much information as possible.

I don’t have time and can’t afford to do the kaplan classroom course. I was wondering which is better Kaplan or Princeton or whatever else you know of? Can you please tell me why it’s better? Thanks, I appreciate it.

I’m trying to figure what might be the best GRE prep course. I saw MLIC on the internet and it looked like it would offer the best training, but when I looked them up on the better business bureau website, they were not listed. Do you know if they are legitimate, and as good as they claim to be? Better than Kaplan and Princeton and Testmasters and Powerscore?

I am wanting to take the GRE and I want help in preparing for it. But I’ve looked and Kaplan and Princeton Review. Their courses cost as much as a down payment on a new car.

I was checking my college bookstore and I found a few GRE study guides. There was a general one, a Kaplan, Barrons, Princeton Review. Which of those would be of the most benefit? If there is a different one give me the name of it, and any other suggestions for studying. What about the LSAT I’m going to start studying for that as well. Thanks.

I’ve looked through examples in these books..and they all vary somewhat in difficulty level. I would like to know from those of you who have taken the gre recently, or at least have a knowledge of it, which book you would best recommend..

I am about two weeks away from taking the Biology Subject Test GRE and four weeks away from taking the General GRE. Does anyone who has taken these tests before have any study suggestions? I already have the study materials from Kaplan and have the Princeton Review Cracking the GRE guides on the way. Would it be a wise idea to go back through my notes and texts from my undergrad courses and re-read these? Any and all tips would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hey I was just wondering if anyone took the Kaplan classroom course and found it helpful for the Verbal Section of the GRE? How much did you score improve etc..?
