Hey, am from India. I am looking forward to do my masters degree in ‘computer graphics and game technology’ from the united states. My GRE score is 1140 (quantitative – 690, verbal – 450); analytical writing section – 3; Am not quite sure about the good universities that offer this course..and whether i stand a chance to get in with my score. Please guys, help me out with some good univserties that you feel i can get admissions wit my score..

difference between the tofel exam and gre exam

i am living in india. i want to study in abroad. i like to know the difference between gre and tofel.

i have recently heard that gre exam in hyderabad is little bit tougher compared to other cities in india like chennai .is it so??? can anyone help me plz

I have enrolled in the undergraduate Chemical Engineering course in a reputed college in India. I wish to do my masters from Technical University of Munich. I don’t know German, but there are still four years ahead of me before I apply.
So, is it compulsory to know German and is there a qualifying examination to prove the language proficiency? Apart from GRE, do I have to pass IELTS or TOEFL? If yes, then which is better?

I am currently doing my bachelors degree in psychology in India. And I plan to give the GRE exam in June this year.
I would like to major in INDUSTRIAL/ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY and am looking at programs in America.
Can anyone suggest some good schools to look into?

Can anyone help me in giving information regarding MS-abroad ? I am a biotechnology graduate from India.I finished B.tech Biotechnology (4year course) with 7.4/10 (CGPA) this year. I am planning to do masters abroad, especially in canada / US . I had 4 backlogs in my second year of study due to non-specific reasons and I successfully completed all of them by the end of fourth year.

My doubts are :

1) Am I eligible for doing masters biotechnology degree in good universities of canada/US with funding if I get good GRE-TOEFL scores?

2) Am I eligible for doing Phd abroad with funding?

3) Do backlogs in academics become big issues during admission procedure?

4) Could u tell me the future of biotechnologists in canada/US ?

i am a student from india, doing his bachelors in electronics engg, is it possible for me to do an MS in aerospace/aeronautical engg from colleges in the US? i know i have to give GRE but is there anything in addition to that? plz could u give me detailed information its very urgent and necessary. thank u. also is aircraft/plane design included in the aeronautical/aerospace course or are there separate courses for the same?

hi all i’m an international student from india. my gre was 1300 (800 + 500) and toefl was 107. i had applied to 4 universities for MS in computer science- U PENN, JHU, NYU and U PITT.

i had pretty strong SOP with 4 fairly strong LOR’s from 3 professors and a company i had my training in. the problem with my profile was my acads. i only had a gpa of around 3.2/4. (i say around coz in my university we follow the percentage system in every course)

so the problem is that now i have received a reject from U PENN and the rest universities are saying that they’ll take around 2 weeks for the decision. but now my idiotic decision of applying to 4 universities is biting my a$$. so is there any other university which has admission open even now???
(i’m applying to north eastern univ tomorrow morning)… plz plz let me know any university or guidance. i understand there is no spoon feeding here but i have been so tense for the past few days that i cant see any hope….

My name is Ashly Alexander Mathew M and I am a citizen of India .I am planning to write the GRE general test on Augest 11,2006 .The name given on all my educational records are Ashly Alexander Mathew M .But due to the rules and the regulations of the Indian government the name on my passport is Ashly Alexander Mathew Manchadivilakathu because no initials are allowed .If I register for the gre exam as per the name given in the passport will there be any complications in the admission process .Because of the above problem can I register my name as Ashly Alexander Mathew M. If not plese advice me what to do.

i stay in india & i want to study law in america.do i have to give my GRE exam after graduation ..if not then which exam do i give? except the Lsat & how many years does law take?

I’ve taken my GRE exam last year ie in august2006 in India.I got my score reports by post after a month.Now i wish to apply for some of the universities but ive lost the score reports.what should i do now???????????please help mee

But with US the only obligation is work experience! so i’m unable to get admission in any reputed university in US…. But i can if i chose master in IT as my course……

But i hv decided to come back to India after studies… So MBA is a better option over Masters in IT..

Also let me knw the ielts / toefl / gre / gmat tests required…. because if so.. i’ll giv the papers wch are required, this july…..

this course should be atleast 1 year duration or more. which will support H1B visa education requirement(i mean that 16 yrs full time study, i already have 15 yrs education ). actually i passed my BA (3 year duration) and graduated from india in 2007. my result is not good, just passed out with minimum marks. now i want to go usa for further studies. my choice is any management or computer/IT or child care education. i want to study in usa without any entrance like gre/sat/gmat etc., i want to enter in the course directly and and can sit for toefl or undergo esl programme. plz advice…….

Iam very much interested in doing petroleum engineering or oil and gas engineering as my post graduation .I first want to know whether I could do petroleum engineering or oil and gas engineering as my post graduation even though I have done my undergraduate as mechanical engineering.What are the steps to be taken to get into your institution? I have no relatives living over there, so it would be kind enough if u provide me all information regarding the cost of the course , whether scholarship be available , if I would get part time jobs over there to seek my needs and for my studies etc. what score I have to get in the Gre , toefl, ielts. hello im vijay from chennai im plannin to do M.S. in canada/usa but im really worried abt getting a good univ out here in india i don like my engineerin course its full of wierd theory i ve had a hell of a time now im completing my degree this may
i ve had loads of backlags now my % is 65 will i be able to get into some good univ abroad if i get a good gre score

How do you rate the Globe Institute (www.globe.edu) I am planning on doing a certificate course there. I am from India. Apparently they are the only institute that I could find that didnt ask for GRE and TOFEL. They charge close to 6400/semester. Do I have any other options? I am looking for courses in Management and/or Technology (Electronics/IT/Computers/Telecommunication) Please advise

What & why is GMAT GRE ACT SAT TOEFL ? What is required for MBA if i wanna study abroad in U.K.

I am a Computer Science student and going to finish my course in May 2008. The fact is I want to go for a MBA Degree instead of a job right after.

I am from India, and very much admant about going abroad for higher education. It’s just a dream of mine. Well the problem is I will be a complete fresher with no work experiance, with only 15 years of education. Now if I want to apply for UK or US universities they would demand for a work experiance of at least 2 years to do a MBA. US universities demands for 16 years of formal education.

Someone told me that there are some Universities in US which do accept freshers into MBA but I have no idea which ones. Can anyone help me out with something. I am in a great crisis of proper information. I have heard about TOEFL, IELTS, GRE and GMAT etc, but can’t make a path out of it. My first choice is US.

I am confused and unable to figure out anything proper. Please do help me. I would be glad to have your suggestions.

My score in GRE is 1320. I am doing my BE in MECH from CBIT, India. I am not interested in doing anything related to engineering. Can I use this GRE score to get into any other course, say for instance related to advertising, or management? Please let me know, the colleges I can apply, the scholarships that I can get. My engineering aggregate as of now is 75% and my high school agg was 85% ICSE. Got 87% in Intermediate(10+2)

and by the way in this univ, electronics subjects offered are,
available in BE in INDIA ,,,, there is no course satisfaction here
