where can i get GRE prep help. I want to do my master but i need to take GRE exam.
I am currently preparing to take the GRE exam. I have decided to probably go with either the Princeton Review or a similar type of course for preparation. I am the first person to pursue a graduate degree in my family, and I also had to work full time most of my college career. I had 2 very bad car accidents during college and my transcripts directly reflect the series of obstacles I faced throughout this time so I feel that it is EXTRA important that I do well on this exam to help my chances of acceptance in addition to great reference letters, statement of purpose, and additional volunteer work and research. I would appreciate any test taking tips, suggestions, and positive feedback to help me mentally prepare for this exam.
I have taken 2 preliminary practice exams the first one i didn’t do so well, the second I did ok… but I want to prepare in the best possible way. On a side note I am more of a visual learner and I do way better on essay exams, but have been working on my multiple choice test taking skills and techniques.
I definitely can use the support and feedback and would love to know about others experiences with this exam.

I am 48 years old. A tired but experienced nurse. I have a BSN degree. I would like to get a master degree and begin a role as a Nurse Practitioner. I do not want to take the GRE exam. My GPA from college years was 3.16. University of Michigan requires a 3.25 if not taking the GRE.
What do you all think? I just have not been in a classroom for a very long time. I am anxious about the GRE and not doing well. (even if I prepare and take a study course) I would just like to apply to a master’s program and get started.

I’m taking the GRE exam on May 7th, and I’m trying to understand the format of the test.
There’s the Writing section (which is always first), then a Math and Verbal section. But is there an experimental section for everyone? Or is that randomized so only a few people end up taking it?
Also, the experimental section wouldn’t be another Writing section, would it?
I can’t imagine writing two MORE essays for another two hours :/
hi,i am a final year under graduate engineering student in india. i want to do my post graduate in the US. i have my gre exam coming up on aug16,but i find that i have not done enough preparations for it as i have scored only around 1300 in one of the mock tests. will it be advisable to cancel the exam now and write after i complete my undergraduate, cos most students in india write the exam during the final year. will it affect my admission to universities in any way?
My alma matter, Murray State University (A very underrated school, by the way) has an MPA program that does not require a GRE exam or any other type of graduate exams, but I’m looking for a bigger school. Any university in any state would be fine. Hope you guys can help!

I am getting ready to take the GRE exam in December so I can start applying for graduate schools in the Spring. I am planning on getting a Masters of Public Health degree. I am fairly confident on my quantitiative reasoning, but my verbal reasoning might be another story.
For anyone who has taken the GRE, if I score good my goal (500 or more) on quantitiative, but score under my goal (500 or more) for verbal, but then the 2nd time score over 500 on verbal and my quantitative score is less the 2nd time, can I combine the scores from Test 1 and 2 to give me the best results? Or do I have to take both scores off the same test day?
