Subject GRE or the general Test?
Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
I am at present pursuing masters in english literature.I am confused whether to take the subject GRE test or the general GRE test?Which one is easier and scoring and what is the prospect of both?Any guidance specially from Indian students who have already taken the exam or are in the process of taking it,will be helpful.
I am not Indian, but have gone through the grad school process.
I was under the impression that most grad school programs require the GRE general test. If you are in a program with a relevant subject test, sometimes it is required to take that as well. You should check with the admissions people at the schools you’ll be applying to for exactly what to take.
I would be surprised if you were supposed to only take the subject test, and not the general.
I’ll second the above answer. . . I’ve never seen a grad program take a subject GRE test instead of the general one. They might prefer for you to take a subject test *in addition to* the general one in a few cases, but the odds that it’s either/or probably aren’t too great.
