May I ask u a question? Will you start swimming in a swimming pool or you will direct jump in ocean?
My wife and I prepared for TOFEL and GRE and passed both but GRE first and then TOFEL. So that you can build up confident and then tough TOFEL. At this stage forget about TOFEL and concentrate 100% on GRE only. You can not ride 2 hourses at the same time. Try on PONY first. Learn from GRE and start for TOFEL.
But more inportant is to stop other activities and concentrate on your GOAL.
    Goal number one: GRE
    Goal number two: TOFEL
    Best Luck.

Yes…unless you’re pretty comfortable with the English language.

NO, I highly recommend that you take the GRE first because that will help you prepare for the other.

    That depends on:
When you plan to go to university–as far as I know, your GRE score is good for 5 years, but your TOEFL score only for 2.
What you’re planning to study and what scores you need for both. The English part of the GRE is much much harder than the TOEFL, but if math is your forté and a good math score will by itself give you almost all the points you’ll need for the GRE, take the GRE first and then start to work on the TOEFL. If you need a very good score for both, I would suggest studying for and taking the TOEFL first.

(Edit) Another thing–if you’d rather take the CAT TOEFL, which has a grammar section but no speaking section, you should take it ASAP because it’s being eliminated (I’m not sure when). If you want to or have to take the IBT, which has a speaking section, you can wait. I think it’s harder to get an appointment for the IBT TOEFL than the GRE, but that may depend where you are.

Its depends on University and Embassy requirements. TOEFL is just a language Test, where as GRE is an Aptitude Test. If you have done your last degree with English as medium of instruction then university do not demand TOEFL. English in GRE is much more than English in TOEFL. But the scop of both tests is different.
The best is " You should ask your target university about taking or not TOEFL.
