PostHeaderIcon Reporting GRE scores to Graduate schools question?

Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!

I have taken the GRE exam twice, and I am about to start applying to graduate schools. The first time I took the exam I did extremely well on the quantitative portion, but no so great on verbal. When I took the exam again, I did very well on verbal, but my math score was lower than the first test. I have two questions about this:

1) When I unofficially report my scores on the application, would it be acceptable to put my highest score for Verbal and Quantitative, even if they are from different tests? The applications that I have seen only ask for the two different scores separately.

2) If I cannot for some reason, will the schools look at the two different tests scores?

Thanks!

You can probably report the better scores on the unofficial application. When they get the official scores They will either average the 2 tests to together or take the higher overall score of the 2 tests.
