Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!

I need to take the GRE to get into graduate school. How hard is it? What do I need to study? Are there any ways you can suggest to prepare other than the Kaplan study guides (I already have those)?

Not too bad. Study and know the 5 links for analogies. The analytical section has changed. You now will be required to write a position paper on two randomly generated topics. This is the hardest part.

Not too bad. I’d say it’s only marginally harder than the SAT. How and what you study depends largely on how much time you have before you need to take it. I’d suggest that you take the CD in the back of the Kaplan book and take at least two practice exams, with the same time constraints, etc. as if you were taking it for real. Then identify the subject areas you scored lowest in, and work on these. The best way I’ve seen most folks learn is to keep taking practice exams, reviewing the answers, and seeing what they did wrong. You can study the subject matter, but your odds of running across the same content you’ll see in the exam are pretty low. The practice exams will give you an excellent feel for how long the exam is, how to pace yourself, the types of questions you need to skip over on the exam, etc. More than anything, knowing the structure of the exam and being confident that you will be able to finish will help you out the most. Allow yourself one minute per question – if you don’t have an answer at the end of a minute, skip it and come back to it later. You don’t have to sit there and time yourself, but you’ll get a feel for how long is too long to sit on a particular question.
One free tip – quantitative comparison questions on the math portion (where they say which value is larger, column a or column b) – plug in the numbers -2, -0.5, 0, 0.5, and 2. As long as you work the math correctly, you’ll get every one of these questions right.
    Good Luck!

Just grab a guide. If you were up on your academics during your undergraduate studies it will be a breeze. The math section is actually (from a math standpoint) at a lower level than the math they expected you to know on the SAT. The "reading" sections should also not give you much problems, they just want you to demonstrate that you have a college level vocabulary, and can read and analyse readings at a high level.

Now the subject GRE’s can be absolutely brutal, but the general GRE is not that rough.

Not hard – it’s a lot like the SAT. Just refresh your geometry and algebra skills and you’ll do fine.

all such tests take preperation and intelligence. There are online study guides or check with the library at the school. Good luck.
