Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
I’m about to take the GRE’s for GRAD school and I had a couple questions for those of you who have already taken them somewhat recently. What is the Range of possible scores you can get? About how much does it cost to take test (I live in MA)? What is most important to study for Math section? Verbal section?
I just took the GRE in January. To register, go to http://www.ets.org and click on GRE. It costs 140 dollars and that includes score reports to 4 schools (additional reports are 15 dollars each). You have the choice to take the computer-based or the the paper-based exam. I would recommend the computer-based– that way you have a large range of dates to pick from and the computer-based test adjusts to your level of intelligence (for example- if you answer a medium diffuculty question right it will bring you to a harder question that is worth more points, and vice versa). As far as studying goes, it depends on how well you perform in math and english. If you are good at math, concentrate on the verbal section– study the vocab words. If you are naturally good at english, work on your math skills. Pick up a gre book from your local bookstore (Barnes and Noble, Borders will have them). Princeton Review and Kaplan both put out excellent review books for the GRE, they will prepare you for all three sections (verbal, math and analytical writing) they also include multiple practice tests that help a lot. Pick this up at least a month before your exam. Good Luck, hope this helps!
I second everything the first poster said. However, the section to concentrate on will also depend on the kinds of graduate programs you are applying to. It would make sense that if you are applying to an English or Literature grad program, you should do well on the verbal section. And if you are applying to engineering grad programs, you should do well on the quantitative section.
well retake the gre
