GRE prep question? Help please?
Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
I’m planning on taking the GRE. Kaplan and Princeton review and other prep courses seem to be really expensive. Are they any good? Any recommendations to prepare for the test? Is it worth paying the 00 + for the prep course? How about the online courses?
I think if you are motivated enough to stay dedicated to studying on your own, buying the books and studying them cover to cover is just as good. They use the same techniques in the courses that are explained in the books. The only way I’d suggest a course is if you have a lot of trouble forcing yourself to study, because at least the course makes you get up and look at the material a few times per week.
I was really nervous about the GRE and I wanted to take a course but coming up with the money would have been tough. I ended up just getting the books, and I raised my score a LOT just studying on my own. I am so glad I didn’t take a course because it would have be a huge waste of money. I got a much higher score than I needed. I bought the Priceton Review, Kaplan, and official ETS study guides. I read Princeton Review and Kaplan cover to cover and memorized all of the Princeton Review hit lists. As it got closer to test day, I did a few of the ETS practice exams just to get comfortable with the official test questions (though I didn’t find them any different than Princeton or Kaplan’s). Definitely download the powerprep software from ets.org, because it gives you practice exams in the exact format and program used in the real exam.
Just get a book or some software. It’ll cost anywhere from $19.99-$39.99, Your local library may have GRE preparation materials available that you could use free of charge. Kaplan and Princeton Review, as well as other test preparation companies, offer GRE Preparation books and software.
