Good GRE Course?
Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
I want to take the GRE exam before they change in september. I just need some suggestions on some GRE prep courses.
I just used Kaplans GRE prep book and a GRE vocab book and ended up doing pretty well. I think that Princeton review does a better job of preparing you for the Analytical writing part though.
I enrolled in Kaplan’s 9 week course in the summer of 2005 and found it extremely helpful. The course cost around $1100, but I believe it was worth every penny. Included in the cost of the course is 6 hours per week (for 9 weeks I believe) of classroom instruction.
Additionally, Kaplan has all of the class sessions online so if you miss a class or just want to hear the lecture again you can log in and hear it (w/ slides that change as the person speaks).
Kaplan also provides a large workbook so you stay on top of the material by doing homework. There is homework online as well so it scores the exercises for you. They also have pre-printed cards with the top 200 words used in the Verbal section that were helpful. More bonus: they provide 6 or more practice GRE exams online with the course cost….so you’ve taken the GRE that many times before the real test date.
All said and done, taking the course at Kaplan raised my score about 200 total points. I also received a 6 on the analytical section. If you’re serious about going to grad school in a competitive field, I’d recommend taking a course like this.
