GRE test, is it too early to take it?
I have pretty ambitious plans regarding my masters degree, I am a year 2 undergraduate student right now and I know I can sit on a computer GRE test any time I want. But when do you think is the best time to take it? I have no idea, when, 3rd year or 4th year, I should be applying to the universities for postgraduate studies. Can you please help me?
if i got 77% of the questions correct on a GRE practice test, what would my approximate score be?
I took an online practice test for the GRE and instead of giving me my score, it told me I got 77% correct. This was my first stab at the GRE (no studying etc), so I am just looking for a ballpark on how i might have scored on the actual exam had i answered 77% of the questions correctly.

How long does it usually take for them to mail GRE scores if you take the test at a computer testing center?
I took the GRE at a computer testing center (Prometrics) and it tells you your math and verbal on the spot — I got a 690 (or 680?) and 600 respectively, but they mail you the your scores as well and the letter includes your essays which a grader has to look at. It will be two weeks tommorow since I took it, so I’m really ready to find out!
How tough is the GRE general test?
I’ll be taking the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) this summer and have heard opposing stories about its difficulty and about how easy it is. If you have taken the GRE, what do you think? Tell me what you scored, how much preparation you put into it (if any), and if you’ve taken the SAT compare its difficulty to that.

I want to take the GRE Biochemistry subject test this spring, any advice?
From what I’ve read its about 2.5 hrs and 180 questions. How can I prepare for it? I am in Biochem 1 and also taking cellmolec biology. After next semester I will have finished Biochem 2 and research. I plan on taking the Biochem subject test sometime in June. Besides what I learn in class, are there any other resources out there to improve my score for the GRE Biochem subject test?
Has anyone taken any of the subject tests? How were they?

Does everyone get an "experimental" section on the GRE test?
I’m taking the GRE exam on May 7th, and I’m trying to understand the format of the test.
There’s the Writing section (which is always first), then a Math and Verbal section. But is there an experimental section for everyone? Or is that randomized so only a few people end up taking it?
Also, the experimental section wouldn’t be another Writing section, would it?
I can’t imagine writing two MORE essays for another two hours :/

Do you get to see your GRE test results before deciding to sumbit them to a school?
I have heard conflicting stories…one adviser told me that you have to choose whether you want to submit your scores BEFORE you actually get to see them. Another person said that you get to see your scores (obviously, not the writing portion) and then decide to either submit them or throw them away. Any ideas which is true?
