Which method is most effective (books, seminars, computer/online programs)? How much time should I set aside to study?

I have an entire month to study with nothing to distract me. I have the Barron book but I´m so overwhelmed by the vocabulary and everything. What should I focus on more and in what order?

I need to take the GRE soon, but I have been lagging perhaps some new studying ideas would help. Thanks!

Before or after Undergrad.?

I plan on taking the GRE in about two months. I want to buy a study guide, but I need to narrow it down a bit. Borders has a plethora of guides.

I’m having a rush to give results of this exam, so i was thinking to study for two weeks on it, and then go for it. Is it possible? or should i spend more time studying after i apply to the GRE Exam?

I don’t want to spend the money on a 2008 GRE study guide. I can find a really cheap 2007 one. Do the tests change THAT much? I’m guessing that the main concepts of the test are the same….would I perhaps worsen my score by using the older version?? any advice on this? thanks!

Info about me: I have my BA in English with a creative writing concentration and am applying to grad schools hoping to get into a creative writing program. I got a 29 on the ACT and had a cumulative GPA of 3.6 in college.

What’s the best way to study for the GRE? I’m not good at math and I’m not sure what else is on it. Is there a particular book or program that you think is better than another? What helped you prepare?

Help, I have been out of school for 5 plus years. I’m not good at take tests like the GRE and need someone to tell me where do I get study material, how do you study for it and whatever I need to know about it.

I’m not an American citizen, so how can I enter a good university to continue my graduate study "Phd" without GRE exam, and to be teacher assistant ?

I’ve recently decided to further my education and need to take the GRE. I have until February to take the exam–which I imagine is plenty of time to study. What methods worked best for you?

I had originally planned to take the General GRE in Jan ’08, but had to reschedule for Jan ’09. Do you think the questions/format will be so different that I will need new study guides? Also, how difficult is the exam REALLY? Thanks for any help!

I have a shot at starting grad school fall semester ’07 if I can score at least a 1000 on the GRE before the end of July. I’ve been out of school now 5 years. Anybody think this is a reasonable amount of time to prepare for the GRE if I put in 3-4 hours a day of study for the next 7 weeks or so?
