I want to take the GRE in a month. I have a really good undergrad GPA but SUCK at test taking. The program I am applying to requires the GRE, but there is not an entrance score requirement. I’m thinking about just going and taking it on the computer and not messing with studying. (I have been out of school for 5 yrs. and have job experience.) To get accepted, they just want you to have a good undergrad GPA, 3 letters of reference, work experience, and TAKEN the GRE…what would you do?

I am getting ready to take the GRE test in three parts. I’ts been about 4 years since i was in school, and i want to know what book is the best for studying for this test? Thoughts…

That is if you are not working and can dedicate a substantial amount of time each day. I’m working with an application deadline and would just like to know how realistic it would be to try to take the test in time for that deadline. And I understand that everyone is different and "it depends" and all that. But just a general idea please. Thank you :-)

I have an 8 week study guide from the Princeton Review, but some people say you need 6 months! In all reality, am I kidding myself to think I can do well just studying 8 weeks? I study everyday for hours…

Does the act of writing in all the information (def., part of speech, origin, etc.) on the flash card contribute significantly to your ability to memorize the information, or is it really just the action of studying with them. I made 40 or so, studied with them, and I know every one. It’s just so damn time consuming. Do you think it would make any difference if I just buy the ones that are premade and use them?

and how many hours per day do you recommend?

If I’m going to take the GRE this october should I buy the guide books that are 2007 edition or 2006 edition? Does it matter? And which are the best to get?
