I haven’t received one in the mail yet and my exam is a week from today, and I was wondering if one is actually needed. I was reading the website I registered on, and under the "What to Bring" section, it just says I need to bring an ID. It seems to imply that an admission ticket is only needed for the paper-based exam…is this correct?

I just took the new GRE exam and am confused as to how good or bad my scores are. The computer gave me an estimate of my scores. I got 270-370 in the verbal section and 360-460 in the math section. Please help me understand how good or bad these are! Thank you in advance.

Presently i completed b.Tech 3rd year.Now i am preparing for gre exam
and I NEED SOME TIME TO PREPARE WELL because this is going to be my
first attempt.My plan is after completing final year i want to go to US for fall 2010.In which month should i write exam and for that how much before
should i apply for exam?Please help me i am feeling tensed.

I will be taking the new gre and just wanted to hear how it was? Also if you could tell me what score would I need to get on the new gre for it to equal to 800. Also any tips would be helpful thank you.
when I say 800 i mean a total score. I know each section is worth 800..

I wanted to reschedule the GRE exam and its too late since its only one week from now ….
I haven’t paid for the exam till now
I have few more questions?

1) If i didnot pay the amount and did not attend the exam. would it be a problem….?
2) Next time if i want to take the exam will they combine this amount to my next exam?

I am currently in 2nd yr of college. I wanna do MBA at last after d completion of the college, but i am also interested in GRE GMAT exams. Should i start studying for MBA from now only ? (By attending coaching classes for MBA aspirants like for CAT exams) or should i attend coaching for GRE GMAT ?

I’ve got a bad GRE score but an awesome TOEFL score.

So I’m taking the GRE exam this year. I’ve already been practicing with books (the Kaplan books seems to be more helpful than the Princeton Review in my opinion). I wanted to know if anyone out there who has already taken the exams and got a good score had any tips on how to be well prepared.Also, is the exam anything like the problems they show you in the books?? I want to make sure so I’m not wasting my time.

Hi I’m an immigrant that came to US five years ago. I did horribly on the gre exam (close to 1000). I know that it is not a competitive score for applying biology grad program. The most embarrassing is that i did study for the gre exam. I am having a 3.78 GPA and i have four year research lab experience since i started working in a lab when i was a freshmen (so i think i may have a bit more experience than other candidates). I wonder the grad school will take my application for consideration at all? Or i should just retake the gre exam?

I heard that GRE exam is very difficult exam and many people fail and they have to take it several times before they can earn a decent score. Is it necessary to pass GRE exam for international students that have passed the academic ielts or academic ielts is enough for admission?

I have just received my degree classification, a 2:1 BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and am wondering what that is under the American system as I may want to do a masters in renewable energy in the US next year or in 2011.
P/S I’m aware of the fact that I need to do the GRE exam as well.

Hello Frenz.I have heard of GRE exams for Master degrees but know no details about it.I wanna know Everything about it from scratch..like how we have to get enrolled,where will we get the application,What procedures are involved etc..Please dont forget to answer when the GRE will be held in 2009..Is GRE 2008 over?..Can u guys answer me a bit in detail..

After my friend went to a Kaplan GRE practice session, I decided I ought to check my score. I went to a separate center and took the same exam. I scored a 990 — the same score as my friend. I then learned that another of his friends scored a 990. I’m suspicious.

Has anyone else taken the Kaplan Practice and what are your scores?

I recently took the GRE exam and scored low on the verbal section (490) and i received 800 on the quantitative. I have a 4.0 GPA and some teaching and research assistantship experience as an undergrad student. what are my chances of getting into top 10 engineering grad schools ?

I am studying for the GRE exam and need help making a schedule. I have all day to study and need to improve my math skills greatly while brushing up on my vocabulary and verbal section. I have a math workbook and a verbal workbook. I also have vocabulary flashcards and math flash cards. Also, I’ve found some online lessons. Any ideas on how to organize my studying?

I am currently a month away from taking my GRE exam, but I have not prepared at all since I have been taking summer classes that have soaked up all of my little free time.
I will probably only have two weeks to prepare for the exam, and I was wondering if this would be considered ‘cramming’ and should I reschedule to give myself more time to study?
Anyone out there have any advice?
