They recently revised the GRE exam. Now, some of the questions have multiple answers. How will this be scored? For instance, if I get one answer right and miss the other one, is the question completely wrong?

I have got 8 in IELTS but for GRE I have lots of tests and word lists downloaded. the word list is a lot and I don’t know how to prepare for it. I am a student I can’t afford classes. can any one help and let me know how to prepare for this test?
apart from books can any one tell me the techniques

Which is the the best books to study for for the test? Also are there any prep courses?

I’m graduating with a BA in liberal studies. I was going to be a teacher, but decided i want to get an MBA instead. The only thing I’m worried about is math. I’ve only had to go up to about algebra. I never took a calculus or trig class in my life. I’m planning on studying this summer, so I’ll have 3 months. Is that long enough? Is it something I can pass if I study?

I want to focus more on the Math .

Okay, I am a senior right now and I am planning on going on to graduate school next fall. I would like to achieve a very good score on the general GRE (I don’t have a specific subject test to take because I am a history major). I just want to know how hard you found it in your personal experience.

p.s. please don’t relate it to the SATs because I have never taken that test, or the ACT.

I looked at a practice GRE general exam and I thought the questions were very easy. I am a premed student majoring in biochemistry and minoring in math and in case I don’t get into medical school I will try to get into graduate school (worse case scenario). Why does the GRE seem easier than the MCAT? To me the GRE’s questions look like basic math and English. Are the practice tests like the real exam or is the real exam much more difficult?

I am doing bachelors in electrical & electronics engg & wanna do MS in some electronics area. So, which subject exam should I give, maybe maths as there is no subject in area of electrical or elctronics?

I have planned to give Gre Exam in October 2010 . I have already start my preparation . But i want to know procedure to memoraise those learn words?

I’m from Turkey and have been studying for GRE since i want to study in USA. But i will also consider applying European universities. Supposedly i have very good GRE scores, does it increase my chance of being admitted to a European university? If not, are there any similar(GRE-like) exams valid for Europe?
I bought Barron’s preparation book and i try to learn 100-150 words a day for the verbal part. I haven’t started to study for analytical writing section yet, but i will check out the tips for rephrasing and synthesizing in Toefl,and have a look at sample essays. Also, I have been reading English and American newspapers everyday on the Internet everyday. Finally,I don’t study for quantitative part because i’m mathematics major.

Is it necessary to get the passport for GRE exam.. or any other govt. approved photo id like voter’s id is also allowed? pls help me out on this issue..

I am an African with the intention of going over to USA to do my Masters degree. The fisrt huddle is to pass GRE very well and may be stand a chance of getting a Scholarship. I am currently a 4th year Biology major at Youngstown State University. My GPA is approximately 3.72. I haven’t taken the GRE exam yet. I have about 50 volunteer hours between different locations. What else would I need to get into graduate school (Including score on GRE)? Thanks!

difference between the tofel exam and gre exam

i am living in india. i want to study in abroad. i like to know the difference between gre and tofel.

I’m taking the exam in Singapore. Is it true that the eventual results will be released 10-15 days after the test is completed.

I took the computer based exam and was immediately given the quantitative and verbal scores. Do I need to call someone to find out or something? It has been about 3 weeks now.

How much is powerprep.software useful to score in GRE Exam?
Are any quesstion asked from this software?

I need to take the exam in two months but I am really weak in vocabulary. couple of my friends say that qliklearn is the best and fastest way to learn new vocabulary. did anyone try that service?

1)For some graduate schools this is a must have, for others is not required. Why?
2) Does graduating with high honors help or count for anything when applying to graduate school ?

I just don’t see the need for this type of exam if your degree is for example in Foreign Language or Art.
