i am doing my bsc in computer science from an Indian univ. i am interested in doing in giving GRE to do my MS, so basically all i need to know is wether or not am i eligible to appear for the GRE? i know that it used to be for engineers only (16 yrs of education), but ive also heard that even people with 15 yes of education (like in my case) may appear too.

You are not eligible to study in the USA as you don’t have 16 years of education so don’t waste time and money with the GRE. With 15 years, you may only apply to UK, Australia, New Zealand, France and Germany.
To complete 16 years, do 1 year of some MSc program here in India. Then you will become eligible.
