Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
Im an incoming freshman in the fall and i will be commuting to campus (15 mins away). I have a desktop at home and was wondering is a laptop necessary? I am a pre-nursing major right now and im not doing anything with graphics or computers. My parents have already bought me a laptop and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to just return it?
im still mixed about it. im going to email my advisor and ask around. thanks for all the answers!
yeah, its really used in college.
I think laptops are pretty useful for any classes that arent math and science (i’m talking about English, literature, history, philosophy etc…) because you dont have to draw anything and you can do all that stuff on the laptop (like take notes etc…)
well since u live 15 minutes away u may not really need a laptop unless u plan on taking notes with it or bring it to school to complete projects.
I’m seeing laptops more and more everywhere, no matter what type of classes I take.
no, I think that it would be a good idea to keep your laptop for future use because you will need it for english classes and also for other classes that you will have to write papers for.
you need a laptop, its so necessary!
You don’t really need a laptop but since you got one you might as well use it. If your school offers wireless Internet it will be pretty convenient
Yea, just return it. My cousin is going into nursing and i was just talking to her about if she need a computer, and she said no. But she also told me that is would be helpful to have a computer. they most likely have computers at the campus, and if you want to use it for personal reasons like aim you can just use if when you go home. If would probably be better if you returned so you or your parents could us the money for something better like your college tuition. Well Good luck!
You may not need it as much as you think. You are only 15 minutes away and college campuses have computer labs. But if your parents already bought it, keep it. You never know when it will come in handy.
well some classes have them it depends what type of college you go to?
Yes im a college professer it is good to have a laptop because what happens if you computer at home crashes how will you finish your essays and other assignments. Laptops are a great easy acess way to do anything on the spot!!!!! Keep it trust me!!!!
Hope this helps good luck
I have just moved from a school where EVERYONE used laptops all the time to one where they are fairly rare outside of the dorms. I think it really depends on the school. If you are likely to be doing a lot of group projects and studying during the day, you will probably need a laptop. If not, you might not need it.
I have not tried this myself, but some students actually take their notes on laptop computers. One advantage of this is the improved organization and readability of notes. Also, if the professor references something from a prior lecture, you can actually retrieve it quickly.
You do have to be a good typist to do this, and there is a greater challenge when it comes to scientific and technical courses with lectures containing lots of symbols.
A few professors are not big on laptops in the classroom, and I have heard about a few that ban them altogether.
