Accent and GRE tutoring-is it okay?
Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,
I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!
an indian friend of mine is an extremely good test taker. She scored 2220/2400 in GRE. She has lived in the US for like 8 yrs but still has a slight accent. She would like to tutor (private as well as classroom sessions) for GRE prep courses but is a little apprehensive about her accent. I say she should give it a shot see how it turns out. What do y’all think?
I give this speech to my ESL students:
Communication is about intelligibility and fluency…not minimal sound differences. It is part of who she is and she should not be ashamed of it. Every single person has a accent! Have you ever talked to someone from the South, Boston, Chicago, or California? We all are speaking English. We are all different.
If she is nervous about credibility, as some foreigners fear, her test scores are enough to give her the authority to be there.
If she has been in the US for 8 years, I am quite certain that her English will be just as good as (if not better than) her students’!
