PostHeaderIcon Does anyone else think the GRE test is a drag?

Looking for info on gre preparation classes, gre preparation courses, gre test course and more?

Hi and welcome to my blog,

I opened this blog to help anyone who is preparing for his GRE exam.
I remember myself when I started - I was so lost and in such a panic.
Luckily I got this great Gre guide that helped me a lot
So study hard and good luck!

I’ve taken this test twice. Each time wasn’t a high enough percentile to get into the program I wanted to get into. Each time I take it my score either increased on one section or decreases in another.
The school is looking at scores for one test; they don’t mix or match better scores from all the tests.
What is worst is that it’s expensive 0 and graded on comparison.

Does any other student think that this test is a drag? Sorry but I really despise the analogie test section.

PostHeaderIcon I am using my refund check from school to purchase a much needed laptop, what is the best brand I can buy?

Finally, due to hard earned scholarships this semester I am receiving 00 in a refund check and I want (really need) to buy a laptop for the rest of undergrad and graduate school. I would like to know what is the best (most reliable, fast, less likely to crash, and will survive graduate school) laptop to buy

PostHeaderIcon Is 2 months long enough to study for the GRE and do well?

I have an 8 week study guide from the Princeton Review, but some people say you need 6 months! In all reality, am I kidding myself to think I can do well just studying 8 weeks? I study everyday for hours…

PostHeaderIcon Can money I received for financial aid for college be used to buy a laptop?

So here’s the thing:

I’m starting college in around 3 weeks. I applied for financial aid and received a Pell Grant for ,366/,365 for the fall/spring respectively, a Cal B Grant for 6/5, and a BOGW for 4/4.

I know that the BOGW is used for registration fees only, but what about the others? I have already paid for my classes and books and registration, and it ended up coming to around 0, which leaves almost or around ,500 left over. Would I be allowed to use this money to purchase a laptop for college or no?

PostHeaderIcon My son needs a laptop computer for school homework – nothing too fancy. Should I buy used or new one?

What is an excellent quality brand of laptop computer? I’m looking for one that is worth repairing or upgrading if needed. Anything under 0 worth buying? He needs one for word processing, spreadsheet use, etc. It is important to have at least a 2-3 hour battery.
He needs a laptop to take to school. He has a minor writing disability that results in pain and very poor legibility.

PostHeaderIcon Make my own word definition flash cards to study for the GRE or buy them premade?

Does the act of writing in all the information (def., part of speech, origin, etc.) on the flash card contribute significantly to your ability to memorize the information, or is it really just the action of studying with them. I made 40 or so, studied with them, and I know every one. It’s just so damn time consuming. Do you think it would make any difference if I just buy the ones that are premade and use them?

PostHeaderIcon If you take the gre test more than once, what is sent to the graduate schools?

PostHeaderIcon Help with percentages on GRE questions?

I’m pretty handy with my shortcuts in math but is there something I’m missing here?

A- Mary’s gross paycheck
B- 0

The answer is they’re the same, but how are you supposed to figure that out without a calculator?

PostHeaderIcon Missed my GRE test date: What happens next?

I missed my GRE test date due to family emergency and it was too late to cancel or reschedule my test date. I understand the registration money cant be refunded, but will it affect my future test score in anyways? I know it is mentioned that they hold on to the scores for 5 years, but i am hoping that doesn’t account for exams not taken? I am confused and worried.
