I’m taking the GRE biology test in a 2 months and I’m planning to buy a book to study with, but I’m not sure which is better, Princeton review or Kaplan?

I took the GRE exam 2 years ago. I’m now applying to another graduate school and they need the exact date that I took it. I tried the records office at my last graduate school and the department that I was a student in. No dice. I also tried calling some number to get your scores by phone, but in order to do that you need to know the test date! ahh! what can I do?

Are there any universities in US which accept only GRE score for higher education.If there are any,Plz list me out some good universities.

I have taken up GRE & i got a very low score of 940…
I want to know what is the smartest and fastest way for studying GRE and scoring really well… Please help…

I really didn’t know it, but I have found, after starting to study for the GRE, that my vocab SUCKS.

I’ve got one of Barron’s GRE books, and I’m signed up for 3 of vocab builder websites on the net.

I think learning root words will help me more than anything… as opposed to memorizing the dictionary!

I am self-motivated to stuy online or at home….looking for a well-organized study guide that will provide lots of detailed explanations for quick shortcuts and espeicially for the math sections.

I have to go to UCF for my grad school and I was wondering if anyone knows what a good GRE score is for a "guaranteed" admission or for a really high chance of getting in.

2) Also, in general, at all colleges, what is considered a decent GRE score and what is considered a great/extraordinary GRE score?

I am from India. I will write GRE in two weeks. I am an average student who managed 80% marks in B.Tech from a so-so university. I know I can’t get admission into universities like Stanford, MIT etc. I am from electrical background but wish to study anything related to either computer science or electrical. By electrical I mean, more electrical and less electroncis.

please tell me what US universities I should apply for along with the GRE test. Please do not tell me that I should search and find out. I have searched enough but I am still confused. Please assume that you are in my shoes and let me know what you would apply for. I’ll consider the universities again after your responses.

i am engg student in ee wanting to go in nanoscience and planning gre in physics , my physics is good and i just wanted to know about how to study physics for gre and how to do that in india and which indian books are good and avaliable for that and which level of questions are asked and can a engg student crack the exam if he studies seriously.

I am taking GRE General Test (CBT) on September 8, 2008 from India. How long will it take for my score to reach a school in USA? How long does it take for additional scores?

I’m supposed to sit for the GRE test soon and I was wondering whether anyone out there who has already taken the exam might have some helpful hints on how to get a high score. I’m doing really well in the quantitative section, it’s the other part that gets me sometimes!! Besides, I’ve checked out some of the universities websites and none of them list what grade they consider for the cut off. Does anyone know what score they accept? Thanks in advance!

pls help me out. some say they get high scores just by memorizing intro psy books. is it true? i did not get very high gpa. i did not study very well in uni. you think 3 months of preparation for gre is enough?

I have just taken the computer-based GRE test and think I have done badly for the analytic writing section, because I suffered a memory block. What is the fastest way I can know my full GRE score without waiting for the score report to be sent to me through snail mail? Thanks.

I like to take GRE test for a graduate school however, i have been out of school for many years and I need to know what is the best way to study for the GRE test in order to learn and remember better.

I am looking for school to teach me English to speak and understand english fluently and also to pass TOEFL and GRE to be read to study Master in Computer Engineering in USA, I prefer the schools to be in California, Florida, Texas, Newyork or Washinton, or any other state, Is there any school can prepare someone from scratch to pass TOEFL and GRE in 8 months.

For Creative Writing MFA programs, the GRE is not the most important part of the application, but for the schools that request it, the score still matters. The schools I want to go to say most of their successful applicants have a 600 Verbal score and a 5 Writing score. I have a 580 Verbal and 4.5 Writing, so I’m right below the mark. Should I take the GRE again, or should I concentrate my efforts on other parts of the application?

I am at work all day and it would be really convenient for me to study for the GRE online. Can anyone let me know about some free to use GRE study sites?

For those who have taken the GRE and the ETS practice test you can download from their site, how do the difficulties compare?

I’m studying for the GRE and my biggest weakness is the quantitative section. Are there any good study guides that focus on preparing students for this section of the exam?

This will be my first time taking the GRE and I am wondering which book is better in preparing you for the exam. I’ve already bought a Princeton 2010 GRE book but was wondering whether I should purchase another book (such as Kaplan, Barron’s, or some other book). Which books, study habits, and test techniques helped you? I am wanting to get an M.A./Ph.D in Psychology as I am a double major in Psychology and Human Development with a Minor in English. Thanks!

What do you suggest is the best GRE study guide/book etc!

my friend just got finished taking the GRE. She needs a minimum of 1100 to get into most grad schools that she is applying for. She took the computer based test and got a score of 1090. However, she did a writing portion also. We were wondering if the writing gets added on top of the score or if it subtracts. I looked at the ETS website but it didnt really explain. the writing is only worth 6 points?

I have GRE Test in 2 weeks time. What is the best way to memorize as many words as I can, Please yr advices?
